I've moved!

Hi world.

I'm just posting to let anyone that reads my terrible blog know that I've moved my blog. I will no longer be posting on this (not like I have been anyway) and that my new blog address is this:

http://desperatelybored.wordpress.com/

Main reason for the move is that a few of my friends have started blogs on wordpress and I felt that it would be better if I moved there too. Sorry Blogger!

I hope you enjoy my new blog and hopefully it will be more active than this :)

Nearly December

Wow time flies! My last post was nearly 2 months ago so I feel that it's time for me to post something here.

For anyone that does read here often, I'm fine and still alive. Talking about still being alive, Portals is an awesome game. I managed to finish it just over an hour and a half in one sitting, which is quite an accomplishment and i'll put soully down to my amazing jedi mind tricks.

October has been a great month for games but that also means i've hardly finished any of them. I've just finished Guitar Hero III on Hard (starting it on Expert now) but I still have COD 4 to finish. Like I said above, I still have the rest of the Orange Box to finish. I haven't even bought Super Mario Galaxy, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect or UT3 yet. But now i'm thinking about it, this could also be why i'm quite far behind in my college work...

But yer, this is just a small update to let you know that I am still around. I should be posting more stuff about my huge victory against Lou on GH III and other games and stuff soon, but for now, this is enough. :D

P.S. Dear Mr Anonymous, if you want to have a go at me on my blog; where I have opened up and let you all know who I am and intimate details of my daily life, please have the balls/decency to post with your name. It's like posting on the WoW forums on an alt. Use your main for Gods sake.

Well well well

It's finally great to be back at college. I'd like to start this post by apoligizing for lack of activity since thursday (I think?) as i've been fairly busy. I can't remember what I did on friday night, probably irrelevant and something boring like watching TV after college, but this weekend has been great.

I spent most of saturday sitting about waiting for something to happen as Rob was doing his Pass Plus driving exam. Thankfully, a friend wanted me to go to the local town centre to help them choose a birthday present. This also allowed me to buy Rob's girlfriend a late birthday present to give to her that night at her party. The party however was quite shit. I started the evening with some buds and pretty much stuck exclusively to them for the whole night. Started well with some good mates showing up but then other people; who I really have no feelings for, showed up and put shit music on.

Halfway through the party (probably about 8ish; I know, wild) we got a phone call from our mate Josh (Split (WoW name)) asking us to go to his house to meet him and sit in and get drunk with him and some of his mates. I really regret declining his offer. I havent seen the guy in nearly a year and would have been great to see him again. But ah well, there's always next time.

I'm going to start talking about sunday by moaning about being 18. Now, when I turned 18 I thought to myself "Great, now if they ask for ID I can prove i'm legal to drink!". Well, if you have turned 18 recently like myself or will be soon, don't bother with ID. The reason why I say this? Well, I went down the pub with Rob, Matt and my mate Elliot. I had my driving lisence all ready in case they asked and the fuckers had the decency to believe that im 18. What's the point in being 18, there's no thrill in going to the pub knowing that you're allowed to drink and they don't ask for ID. There's some kind of self-esteem booster going into a pub, being asked for ID and then being able to slap down your ID in front of them in a "fuck you, I win" gesture, but when they don't even ask, what's the fucking point? Anyway, rant over. I'd like to add that I had a couple of pints and a very nice fish and chips lunch.

I'm going to leave it at that as not alot happened today that's worth a mention, I spent 3 hours sitting about at college between lessons and when I was in lessons, I did buger all. I'll like to leave this post with a very sad/awesome video of a guy playing Tetris at an insane level. There aren't many things you can be certain of in this life, but i'm 100% sure that anyone reading this hasn't got shit on this guy. Enjoy :D

Jokes to woo!

Hello again. Whilst at work tonight I was thinking about what I could possibly post up here when I get back in (this blog has become my new hobby). I couldn't think of anything funny, witty or a comical anecdote from my evening at work as nothing really happened. So instead of thinking of new material, i'm just going to recycle something I wrote a few years ago.

My twin; Rob, my mate Elliot, Oli and myself started a site a few years ago called
BERT. It was basically a site for us to post random crap up and reviews. One of the first things I wrote for it was "Some jokes to woo the ladies". Well, if you missed the jokes the first time round, here they are again.

If you have had any contact with the opposite sex then you will know that they like to laugh. Women like a man who can tell a funny anecdote or a funny "A man walks into a bar" joke. So I have compiled a few great jokes to woo the ladies. I will also include a "WOO FACTOR!". The "WOO FACTOR!" will tell you the amount of wooing you will get from these great jokes! I have used these great woo-tastic jokes myself and recieved a great amount of woman woo attention.

A water joke!

Knock Knock
Who's there? Replies your future lady friend
Water
Water who? Replies the soon to be wooed lady
Water you doing here!? This is my house!

WOO FACTOR! - The WOO FACTOR here is about 7/10

Toast!

What do you put on toast?
I dont know? Butter?
Whatever you like!

WOO FACTOR! - The WOO FACTOR here is about 4/10.
If you want added WOO FACTOR then say this straight after the Water joke and you should recieve a 9/10 woo.

What do you put on toast?
I dont know? Butter?
Water-ver you like!

A packet of crisps!

A man walks into a shop and asks the man behind the counter for some plain flavoured crisps. The man behind the couter replies "Sorry mate. We are all out of plain but we have helicopter flavour"

WOO FACTOR! - The WOO FACTOR here is about 4/10.
For a bonus WOO FACTOR just do the classic drum fill of "Badom bom chiii"

Why did the woman cross the road?

Why did the woman cross the road?
I dont know? Replies your future wife.
I dont know either. But why is she out of the kitchen?

WOO FACTOR! - The WOO FACTOR is a great 10/10

What is the difference?

What is the difference between some cheese and a pineapple?
I dont know.
One is round and spikey and the other is put on crackers!

WOO FACTOR! - The WOO FACTOR is 2/10

The way to get the most WOO out of all of these jokes is to memorize them and say them in a 15 second burst infront of all your soon to be lady friends. I used to not have any lady friends but now i can count them! Also at the end of each joke add the classic drum fill. Your social life will be so filled up you won't believe it. Great!

Now im not saying the jokes are great, but still entertaining :D. I hope you enjoyed them.

Another thing, I have noticed that I have had a few people reading my blog. Don't remain annonymous, drop me a comment and let me know who you are and why you read my blog. Well, that's all from me for today, same time tomorow I guess.

A new day at the office

Well, today was my first day of my second year at college. The summer went quickly and now it's time to get back to working hard. Admittedly, I coasted through last year but had a less than desirable time table, this year however, my time table is kick ass. Two late starts and two early finishes makes this year's timetable a hell of a lot better than last year. Whilst my brother (yes, my twin brother Rob) is still at college until 4:15, I finished at 12pm, just in time to get home and cook up some lunch. It was an awesome day today, being able to see everyone in one place again after 7 weeks is truly amazing.

Now about my birthday on tuesday. On tuesday evening I had a dozen of my best mates round for a BBQ and beer night. No women as all they do is cause problems. Was an awesome night of being able to get drunk with your mates. One of my mates, James, doesnt drink beer and until tuesday, had not drank enough to be drunk. We made it our mission to make it his first; ofcourse we didn't tell him that.

Everyone started the night on their prefered drink. Mostly, beer. James however, had a bottle of vodka to himself. He was taking his time over finishing it until we started to play some poker. We had started a game without him and so he wanted to "buy in" to the game. The deal we gave him was that if he could finish the last quarter of his vodka he could buy in on someone else. He agreed and soon finished the vodka. We played a hand with him and then started a new game with several more people joining in; this he was not happy about. We then decided to play for shots, this is when we started to feel like assholes.

We were playing for shots, so everytime you folded or lost a hand you had to take a shot of whatever drink we had chosen. We started on peach snaps. Not my favourite drink, but drinkable. After we all had finished our first "proper" shot we went for refills. However, James was the only one on the peach snaps, we all had water shots. James managed to finish the peach snaps so we opened up a nicely aged bottle of rum which was far from drinkable. He had rum, we had Dr Pepper. Whilst he was drinking away this nasty rum, we were all using our A to B GCSE Drama grades to our best ability to make him believe we were on rum. After his bottle of vodka, 3 shots of peach snaps and 3 shots of rum, he was wasted. We moved him outside to then see if he could win in a wrestling match against my washing line.

Needless to say, the washing line won.

Was an awesome night and I apoligize to James for cheating him into his first drunken state. I'll be posting some more tomorow hopefully :D

A fresh start

Well, it's been nearly a year since I started this blog but it's had very few posts. So, as a new college year begins this thursday, I felt that now might be a good time to give this old dying blog a quick boot up the ass to get it rolling again. Although, with a few changes. I'm going to talk more about my day to day life rather than use this is an amateur games review site, because lets be honest, it didn't work very well.

So firstly, let's clear the air. For those who don't know me in real life, my name is Laurence or Loz and i'm 18 years old (it's actually my 18th birthday today, so grats me :D). I could be called a geek I guess as I have spent over 2 years on a game called World of Warcraft, but if you've played it, you know that it's not always the game play you stick around for. I did quit back in Easter for a few months but I started to miss the heaps of mates I made in the game, some of whom I have met in real life and no, they aren't paedophiles. But yer, our guild is moving forward in the game and the fun I have on it means i'm not going to stop any time soon. I also play Bass (not very well) and am an avid console fan. Admittedly, the PS3 is wank and the 360 is the only way forward!

For those that do know me in real life and are reading this; although the chances of that happening are slim, then i'd like to apoligize now. If I have at all offended you over the last 18 years of my life and I haven't apoligized to you, take this as my apology. Either I had no idea I had offended you or I didn't think it was a big deal. I'd also like to say sorry again to those i've hurt deeply over the last year. I hope we've made amends now and can start this next year as we started last year.

Well, that's basically all I have time to type at the moment. I'm looking forward to tonight though. A few words for you to guess what could be happening. Beer, poker and BBQ. I'll let you know how drunk I get :D

Catch Up

I did say that I would post something about the events over the last couple of months I haven't reported on. So here I go:

Christmas - Mildly fun. I wish I was 7 again to appreciate it more.

New Years Eve - Shit. Stayed in with a couple of mates and shouted at the neighbours for calling our fireworks shit. Nearly ended up with a huge fight as we threw a lit firework into their garden and then they wanted to know why. We know our fireworks are shit, we don't need you and your 15 chav mates telling us what we already know. That's like telling a disabled person they are in a wheelchair, they are hardly going to react with "Shit me, am I?".

AS Janurary Exam Results (disapointing) - 2 Cs and a U. Resitting the U.

Crackdown - It's ok, kept me occupied until the Halo 3 Beta.

Geometry Wars - NEW HIGH SCORE! GO ME! 655,000 ftw!

Halo 3 Beta - Pretty sick. Nice to see some of the features in it.

Pirates of the Burning Sea Incoming - I don't know what I wanted to say about this.
City Of Heroes - Time to laugh at the crapness - Hmm, I can't even remember what I wanted to say about this other than it's a terrible waste of time and money.

Bass progress - There has been some progress. I can now slap-bass.

Giggage - Saw Electric 6 live about a month or two ago. Seeing Reel Big Fish on tuesday. Should be good.

Right, that's that all covered. What else is there to say? Well, i've been cold turkey (WoW) for over 3 months now and i'm happy about it. It's hella boring, buggy and expensive. Anyway, I best be off for bed, work sucks.
